Do Am Hapkido Association

The Association licences the dissemination and instruction of Hapkido in the name of Grandmaster Bang and sets uniform and binding quality standards of instruction and of its teachers. Its members are individual persons as well as clubs. In order to instruct and further qualify its members, the association regularly arranges seminars under the supervision of Grandmaster Bang.

" Am "is the Korean word for " rock ", " Do "means " way ". The term " Do Am " can also be used metaphorically as an honorary title for personalities who pursue their life philosophy with determination. The logo of our association plays with the Korean spelling of the term by dissolving and recombining the letters in order to create something new.

The logo was created by the Korean designer Park, Sun Chu and the calligraphy was limned by the Korean paintress Kim, Kyung Suk.
