About Master Bang

Grandmaster Bang, Kyung Won holds the 8th Dan in Hapkido and 7th Dan in Taekwondo. In Korea, he has long been considered one of the most important personalities of Hapkido and is highly respected and esteemed because of his accomplishments and activities as a teacher. In 2003 he was officially honored by the Korean Government for his international advancement of Hapkido and Taekwondo.

Since his adolescence Grandmaster Bang studied Hapkido as well as Taekwondo. He was given the degree of 1st Dan in Hapkido by Grandmaster Ji, Han Jae who is one of the most outstanding students of Grandmaster Choi, the founder of Hapkido. Grandmaster Bang received his further education from Grandmaster Kim, Hung Su who is a student of Grandmaster Ji and established his own Hapkido school. Grandmaster Bang and his teacher still maintain a close relationship.
